As a result of Covid-19, we have been able to employ the following guidelines to ensure that package holders always receive value from their generous donations.

Packages won in 2019

These packages have been extended by 6 months, free of charge, to a full 24 months from their original issue date and have been provided access to the alternative destinations available in the Stay Safer Close to Home program.

Packages won after January 1, 2020

These packages have been made available for travel for 2 years from their original issue date and have been provided access to the alternative destinations available in the Stay Safer Close to Home program.

Packages won after September 1, 2020

These packages have been made available for travel for 3 years from their original issue date and have been provided access to the alternative destinations available in the Stay Safer Close to Home program.

We have also provided Alternative Destinations under our Stay Safer Close to Home program. These destinations can be viewed when travelers log in and click “Browse Travel Accommodations” to view the available inventory for their package.

Ireland - Covid 19 Restrictions

  • • ***  Effective December 6, 2021, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older, regardless of vaccination status or citizenship, must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within one calendar day of travel.  Alternatively, travelers to the United States may provide documentation from a licensed health care provider of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel.  Check the CDC website for additional information and Frequently Asked Questions.
  • • Effective December 5, 2021, anyone traveling to Ireland must show a negative test for COVID-19 and fill out a Passenger Locator Form before departure.
  • • If you have proof of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, you can show a negative (‘not detected’) antigen test which was carried out no more than 48 hours before you arrive in Ireland. Alternatively, you can show a negative (‘not detected’) RT-PCR test which was carried out no more than 72 hours before you arrive. Antigen tests must be carried out by approved professionals – you cannot test yourself.
  • • Are vaccinated U.S. citizens required to quarantine? No   
  • • Are unvaccinated U.S. citizens required to quarantine? Yes, you must self-quarantine for 5-days after taking a RT-PCR test. Further test to be taken on day 5 onwards   

Spain - Covid 19 Restrictions

  • • *** Effective December 6, 2021 (12:01am EST), all air passengers 2 years or older with a flight departing to the United States from a foreign country are required show a negative COVID-19 viral test result taken no more than 1 day before travel, or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days, before they board their flight.
  • • U.S. citizens can travel from the United States to Spain on non-essential travel, (such as tourism) if they show proof of vaccination. Please read the detailed information on the Spain Ministry of Health’s website. Additionally, U.S. citizens traveling from the United States to Spain must present upon arrival in Spain a QR code generated through the Spain Travel Health portal, obtained through the website or by downloading the “SpTH app” in Google Play Store or iTunes App Store for each traveler, regardless of their age. This applies to U.S. citizens travelling to Spain from the United States, including if they transit through a third country.U.S. citizens who are travelling to Spain from a country that is not the United States should make sure they follow the guidance published by Spanish authorities on their local Spain Embassy website. Restrictions related to COVID-19 remain in effect throughout Spain and vary widely by region.  U.S. citizens should carefully monitor regional governments’ websites and local press reports for more information.  U.S. citizens wishing to validate their vaccination status should consult the regional governments’ websites for procedures and requirements. Visitors should ensure they are familiar with local requirements prior to traveling between regions in Spain and remember to follow the instructions of local authorities.  Not doing so could result in fines or arrest. The most common restrictions in Spain include:
  • • Using a facemask covering your mouth and nose in any public closed spaces.
  • • Limited capacity in religious facilities, funeral homes, shops, restaurants, and bars.   
  • • Requirement to show the EU Digital COVID certificate (or vaccination certificate utilized to enter Spain for visitors) to enter bars, restaurants, and other public venues. 

All travelers should have a plan in case they have to extend their stay if they test positive right before leaving Spain. There have been many instances where travelers who were planning to depart on scheduled flights have tested positive and have had to remain in Spain longer than originally planned. Spanish health authorities will instruct you to isolate/quarantine for a period of time (7 to 10 days minimum) in a local hotel at your own expense. The Embassy or Consulate cannot assist you in getting back to the United States earlier than prescribed by Spanish health authorities or provide monetary assistance for any required extended lodging.

  • • U.S. citizens can travel from the United States to Spain on non-essential travel, (such as tourism) if they show proof of vaccination. Please read the detailed information on the Spain Ministry of Health’s website. U.S. citizens entering Spain on essential travel (such as residents, students or workers) must show proof of vaccination. Additionally, all travelers from the United States to Spain must present a QR code generated through the Spain Travel Health portal, obtained through the website or by downloading the SpTH app in Google Play or App Store for each traveler.
  • Is a negative COVID-19 test required for entry? No
  • Are health screening procedures in place at airports and other ports of entry? Yes
  • Are U.S. citizens required to quarantine? No

Indonesia - Covid 19 Restrictions

  • • *** Effective December 6, 2021 (12:01am EST), all air passengers 2 years or older with a flight departing to the United States from a foreign country are required show a negative COVID-19 viral test result taken no more than 1 day before travel, or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days, before they board their flight.
  • • Proof of vaccination and all air passengers, regardless of vaccination status, must show a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 1 day before travel to the United States.
  • • Unvaccinated: A negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel to the United States.
  • • Anyone arriving in Indonesia must undertake a mandatory 10-day (as of December 3, 2021) quarantine at facilities designated by the Indonesian government
  • • Effective July 6, 2021, the Indonesian Government required all exempted international travelers to present COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card in digital or hard copy upon check-in and arrival in Indonesia. The Indonesian Government recognizes the following vaccinations, including but not limited to two-doses of Pfizer, Moderna, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, or Sinopharm and single-dose of Johnson & Johnson.
  • • To enter Indonesia, all travelers are required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test from a sample collected within 72 hours of their initial departure.

Mexico - Covid 19 Restrictions

  • • Effective December 6, 2021, all non-immigrant, non-U.S. citizen air travelers to the United States will be required to be fully vaccinated and to provide proof of vaccination status prior to boarding an airplane to the United States. If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight.
  • • CDC requirement for Negative COVID-19 test prior to air travel: A negative viral COVID test or documentation of recovery is required for anyone traveling by air to the United States, including U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents of age two and over, and regardless of vaccination status.
  • • Airlines are responsible for enforcing the requirement for passengers on U.S.-bound flights. Airlines will deny boarding to anyone without a negative test or documentation of recovering from COVID-19.
  • • If you test positive, you must self-isolate and delay your travel. Do not travel until you have recovered completely from COVID-19.
  • • Travelers entering Mexico by land from Belize, Guatemala, or the United States may be denied admission if the purpose of their visit is considered non-essential (SRE Announcement ). Travelers should carry evidence of the essential nature of their visit and evidence of their resident status in Mexico, if applicable.
  • • A negative COVID-19 test is not required for entry to Mexico.
  • • Is a curfew in place? [Yes]
  • • Are U.S. citizens required to quarantine? [No]

Canada - Covid 19 Restrictions

  • • *** Effective December 6, 2021 (12:01am EST), all air passengers 2 years or older with a flight departing to the United States from a foreign country are required show a negative COVID-19 viral test result taken no more than 1 day before travel, or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days, before they board their flight.
  • • All travelers in Canada must be fully vaccinated in order to travel by most air, rail, or passenger vessels. In addition, some provinces continue to limit discretionary activities, such as visits to restaurants, bars, gyms, and retail shops, to individuals who can provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Please consult https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid for updated information on travel restrictions, proof of vaccination, provincial regulations, and related items. Please visit this website for additional information on health regulations in Saint Pierre et Miquelon (a French overseas territory).
  • • Are U.S. citizens permitted to enter?  Yes
  • • While Canada restricts non-essential land, sea, and air entry by most foreign nationals,  fully vaccinated U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents travelling for non-essential reasons may be able to enter Canada.  For more information on entry restrictions, see the  Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) website here.
  • • Fully vaccinated travelers, including those engaging in non-essential travel, may enter Canada. All travelers must use the ArriveCAN system to enter their traveler information, including proof of vaccination, before arriving in Canada.   • • Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) required for entry?  Yes, for travelers ages 5 and older.
  • • Are U.S. citizens required to quarantine? Yes
  • • Travelers entering Canada must present a credible 14-day quarantine plan. Information on what constitutes a credible quarantine plan is available on the Public Health Agency of Canada’s website here.
  • • Fully vaccinated travelers who are permitted to enter Canada are not subject to the federal requirement to quarantine or take a COVID-19 test towards the end of quarantine. For more information on travel for fully vaccinated individuals, please click here.

USA - Covid 19 Restrictions (Domestic)
